Story No. 6 LUFT & WASSER

Story No. 6 Luft & Wasser

'Air and Water are two classical elements, also used in astrology. Air consists of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% argon. We take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide CO2. Plants use CO2 + sunlight to make oxygen, this process is called photosynthesis. But too much CO2 is the most important contributor to human-caused global warming.

Air pressure is air pushing down on Earth’s surface – on the top of a mountain the air weighs less. Air can also protect us from meteoroids, when they rub against the air, they turn into small pieces. The fastest gust of wind has been 253 miles per hour.

Water covers around 71% of the Earth's surface. The chemical formula is H2O, 1 Oxygen and 2 Hydrogen atoms, and is naturally found as a solid, liquid or gas.

The 'Luft & Wasser' sign is from a gas station in Berlin.'
